Hamilton, N.Y. - The Colgate Raiders are rolling. With a 78-63 victory over Boston University on Sunday afternoon, the Raiders completed the four-game regular season sweep of the Terriers and extended their winning streak to 10 games.
On senior day, senior Jordan Burns broke the program assist record with an inbounds pass to sophomore forward Keegan Records in the second half. With that assist Burns earned his 485th assist of his career surpassing Hasan Brown’s record of 484 that he held since 1994. Burns was met with a water bottle shower from his teammates in the locker room to celebrate.
Of note: During his sophomore year, Burns set the school record for most assists in a season with 171 and highest assist average with 5.7.
Burns tallied a team-high 15 points, 7 assists, (tied for team-high) 6 rebounds shooting 100% from the charity stripe. Junior guard Nelly Cummings scored 11 points. Jeff Woodward and Keegan Records each finished with 10.
With just two regular season games remaining, both against Holy Cross, the Raiders are on pace to win a Patriot League title and have an auspicious NCAA title run.
Game times for their series against Holy Cross have yet to be announced.
