UTICA, N.Y. - With the final full month of the AHL regular season underway, the Utica Comets have just 19 games remaining in their playoff push.
Of those remaining games, 12 are against division opponents.

Utica is currently third in the north division, but only three points ahead of the Binghamton Devils in fifth. Only the top four teams in each division advance to the postseason.
The team said that despite a poor showing last Saturday against the Laval Rocket, coming off a three-game win streak prior, they are confident about where they are heading into the home stretch.
"I've liked how we've played, I like getting back to almost a healthy lineup," said head coach Trent Cull. "We've had almost our regular six defensemen, which is promising and you never know how long that will last. I think when we have a lineup full of most of our regular guys and injuries or call-ups aren't a player, I feel good about our team."
The Comets continue their push with a road contest against the Rochester Americans on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
