Utica, N.Y. - The Utica Comets were shut out for the second straight game as they fell 6-0 to the Rochester Americans at the Adirondack Bank Center, Saturday.
Zane McIntrye made 13 saves in the Comets goal, but was pulled in the second period in favor of Michael DiPietro after giving up four goals.
The Amerks were able to put two more in on DiPietro, who made 14 saves.
Brett Murray, Scott Wilson, Rasmus Asplund, Curtis Lazar, Tage Thompson (1g, 1a) and Jarrett Burton were the goal scorers for Rochester.
The Amerks registered two short handed goals and one power play goal.
Andrew Hammond got the win in goal for Rochester, stopping all 28 shots he faced.
The Comets return to action on Wednesday, November 6 in Binghamton against the Devils.
