COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. -- The Staffworks Fund of the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties is lending a hand to Susquehanna SPCA. The funding for this project comes from Staffworks profits.
Anita Vitullo is stepping up to help the Susquehanna SPCA, in Cooperstown, build a new animal shelter on Route 28.
Vitullo and the fund will match donations up to $250,000 – meaning half a million dollars toward the project.
Susquehanna has already raised a $1.25 million for its new shelter. The total cost is estimated at more than $2 million.
The challenge grant is an increase in support to help fund the new shelter.
