UTICA- The community remembers a man who died on Friday night after a shooting in a Cornhill neighborhood.
People who knew 33-year-old Todd Rodgers held a vigil on Saturday night at the corner of Miller and James Street. They said Todd was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back.
NEWSChannel 2 camera crews said they saw four wheelers driving down the street, and neighbors set off fireworks. They also heard a large crowd yelling, "stop the gun violence."
Rodgers died in the hospital on Friday.
According to Utica Police, they were called to a shooting on Miller street on Friday night, but Rodgers was found in a vehicle on James Street.
Police confirmed the shooting happened on Miller Street.
Police have no one in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
