WKTV-Congressman Antonio Delgado held his eighth telephone town hall Thursday night.
Topics discussed included Unemployment, PPE, Small Business Funding, and Stimulus Checks.
One big topic addressed was summer activities coming back for the season like summer camps re-opening.
Delgado says with Governor Cuomo putting out stages of re-opening on a regional basis, His office is reaching out to make sure it's on the Governor's Office radar to seek guidance.
“Kids have been cooped (as you well know) up for a long time, and it’s possible for camps to operate, if it’s possible for camps to operate safely, and I think there is a way with the advanced notice and guidance." said Delgado. "What we’re (Delgado's Office) going to need though, is a little bit of leadership to ensure that we’re proactively mapping out what a successful operation might look like." Delgado added.
Delgado says that this is an important issue not only for young children, but for parents who will need to make plans for their kids if summer camps weren't in operation, as parents must go back to work.
