WKTV-Congressman Antonio Delgado held his seventh Telephone Town Hall on coronavirus Friday evening.
Topics discussed included securing student loan assistance, health guidance, and small business relief.
Back in March, Delgado introduced the small business repayment relief act which provides $17 Billion to ensure every small business with a qualified SBA loan to automatically be relieved of their loan payments.
In the Telephone Town Hall Friday, Delgado addressed how long those loan payments should be waived to those who are qualified.
"It is an automatic kick in, so if you have an SBA loan and you are on the books for repayment, those repayments should be waived for the next six months. That is a big big development for sure." said Delgado.
Delgado is holding these Telephone Town Halls every week to hear from the community and connect folks with resources.
