WHITESBORO- Family and friends of Connor Lynskey, of Hinckley, are putting together a 5 mile run and walk in his honor.
It's the Connor's Way Memorial 5 mile run and walk. Family and friends said they're planning it so he lives on."It's to keep his memory alive and to help these students for years and years to come and for Connor's family to be able to hold him close through this walk every year," said Connor's Uncle, Don Lynskey.
18-year-old Connor was hit by a car and killed in August, while walking back to his campground after a concert in Darien Lake.
The walk and run is based around the things that Connor loves. His family says he loves to run, and this event's route will go down trails and roads Connor loved running on.
Connor attended pre-med school at Siena College and was accepted to SUNY Upstate Medical University for the Rural and Medical Doctor Program. So, money raised at the run and walk will go to a scholarship for the program. The family would also like to donate to local scholarships.
