Construction begins at site of new Hannaford in Rome

The new store is located on the corner of West Chestnut and Turin streets.

ROME, N.Y. -- Shovels are now in the ground for a 49,000 square foot Hannaford, in Rome.

In January, WKTV reported that the store will be based on a newer prototype, that includes a pickup window for purchases made online.

The new store is located on the corner of West Chestnut and Turin streets.
