ROME, N.Y. – Bonacio Construction has started work on a new office building at Griffiss Business and Technology Park, and held a beam raising ceremony Wednesday morning.
The 45,000 square-foot building is located on Hangar Road, and sits on three acres of land Bonacio purchased from the Griffiss Local Development Corporation.
The $9 million project is supported by Oneida County Industrial Development Agency, through a payment in lieu of taxes agreement.
“Even as the nation recovers from these difficult times, the Griffiss Business & Tech Park continues to generate economic benefits to the area,” said Elis DeLia, chair of the Griffiss Local Development Corporation. “GLDC is proud to have another building contribute to local tax revenue, create jobs, keep businesses operating and reinforce the foundations of AFRL.”
The project is expected to be completed in 2021.
