A drive across Utica’s Memorial Parkway looks a bit different Tuesday than it did only a month ago.
A stone wall, and heavy construction is the beginning of a new visitors center in Roscoe Conkling Park. It's right next to the entrance of the Utica Zoo.
The project is financed by the New York Power Authority. It was designed in partnership with the zoo.
The new facility will host state of the art exhibits focusing on the past, present and future of New York’s energy grid, and host STEM programming.
The facility will open next year.
