Newport, N.Y. - The West Canada Valley softball team has gone through nearly the entire regular season unbeaten, and senior pitcher Jordyn Conte has been at the center of that success.

Conte is 10-0 on the mound for the Indians, pitching every single game this season. She has actually been on the mound for West Canada in every game since her freshman year.

She surpassed the 600 career strikeouts mark last week and currently has a total of 618, following a 17-strikeout, one-hitter against New York Mills on Monday.

She has also only given up three runs in her last nine games and has earned four shutouts in a row, blanking opponents in six games overall this season.

Conte leads the Indians at the plate as well. She's hit home runs in three straight games, with four big flies in that time.

The multi-sport athlete has committed to play softball at Utica College in the fall.
