COOPERSTOWN, NY – It took long enough, but Cooperstown residents were finally able to celebrate spring Saturday.
Thanks to Mother Nature and the Cooperstown Rotary Club’s 6th Annual Spring Fling.
The event was held at Clark Sports Center and featured vendors from all over the state.
There was also a silent auction, entertainment, and plenty of food and drink.
Cooperstown Rotary president Vicki Gates says proceeds from the event will go to some very worthwhile causes.
“Since 2000 the Cooperstown Rotary Club has donated over $200,000 to local charities and organizations, like the local food bank, the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts. We’ve also helped with the international programs that Rotary promotes.”
Organizers say the Spring Fling is a good way for the community to get together before the local tourist season swings into full gear.
