ROME, N.Y. --- For Copper City Brewing Company, Saturday was their first annual Fall Festival. The brewery had food, live music, and of course lots of beer. The day started with a 5K run that went through the Mohawk Trail system and then ended back at the brewery.
Vendors were there selling wine and fall crafts, and food.
Brewery Co-Owner Dan Frieden said for most of the day every outdoor table was filled. Frieden said outdoor seating may become an issue as colder weather moves in. The brewery is limited to 50 percent capacity indoors.
"We've relied on our patios for the entire summer. We've been blessed with 90 degree days for weeks on end. So without our patios, we're down to 50 people inside and that's it. So we're going to hurt pretty bad. We'll be fine though, we've got a plan. It takes a lot to make sure that people are using the right protective gear," said Frieden
Over the winter, the brewery is hoping their beer takeout is as popular as its been for the past few months. The Brewery has also been stocking up on beer. In their new brewing space, 27 barrels are filled with aged beer.
Frieden said his staff is making sure people are wearing masks and abiding by all state health guidelines.
