A local corrections officer is facing charges after he allegedly brought marijuana into the Oneida County Jail for inmates, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say sheriff’s investigators were conducting an investigation into contraband coming into the jail, and they found that an officer was responsible for bringing marijuana into the facility.
Breland Warmack, 31, of Utica, is charged with promoting prison contraband. He’s scheduled to appear in Whitestown Court at a later date.
Sheriff Rob Maciol says the investigation is ongoing.
