UTICA, N.Y. – Democratic candidate for county executive, Michael Hennessy, held a press conference Thursday to discuss the opioid crisis, rural fire departments in need of funding and the struggles facing local farmers.
Hennessy said he believes these are three areas where changes need to be made.
“Those farmers that are concerned about survival, sustaining business and being able to pass it on to their children, hope is on its way,” said Hennessy, who says he will address the challenges
Hennessy says he's pleased there will be opportunity for debate before election day. He is running against incumbent county executive, Anthony Picente.
