UTICA, N.Y. -- A fire was smoldering for several hours early Tuesday morning at a vacant home in Utica.
Crews responded before 4 a.m. Tuesday to the corner of St. Marianne Way and Lafayette Street.
NEWSChannel 2 camera crews arrived as the roof was caving in.
Utica Fire Chief Scott Ingersoll said a passer-by called it in. Ingersoll went on to say no one was in the home at the time. There was no gas or power running to the building.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause and point of origin remain under investigation.
Utica Police and National Grid assisted at the scene.
