REMSEN, N.Y. -- Fire agencies were on the scene of an early morning fire at a vacant home in the village of Remsen.
Calls came in at 12:25 a.m. Friday morning for a fire at 7972 Narragansett Street. The fire was put out, and departments dispersed by 3:30 a.m.

Crews from Remsen, Barneveld, Holland Patent, and Poland battled the blaze. Several other first responders and ambulance services were on stand-by.
The Remsen fire chief tells NEWSChannel 2 camera crews that the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
