DEERFIELD - Fire crews battled a house fire in Deerfield overnight that started around 11:30 p.m at 7848 Blue Road.

There were nine agencies in total that were dispatched or put on standby: Deerfield, Barneveld, Poland, Remsen, Stittville, Holland Patent and Floyd fire departments, as well as Oneida County Emergency Services and Kuyahoora Ambulance.

The house is set back from the road so NEWSChannel 2 crews couldn't get very close, but flames and smoke could be seen from the road.

Early this morning we made calls to the local fire departments, but crews were still busy on the scene. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
