NEW YORK STATE -- Governor Cuomo has signed new legislation that ends the legal ban on gravity knives. They're folding knives with locking blades.
In approving it, Cuomo said "the legal landscape has changed." In March, a federal judge ruled the law as 'too vague and unconstitutional'.
The knives are often used by laborers, chefs and carpenters.
The ban was first put in place back in the 1950s for street gang usage.
