UTICA – One of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s Democratic challengers for the gubernatorial race this fall is making a campaign stop in Utica this weekend.
Cynthia Nixon will be at The Other Side Gallery, located at 2011 Genesee St. in Utica, from 9-10 a.m. Saturday.
“The time is now! Come on out to meet Cynthia Nixon in Utica and help make history in this historic election!” says a notice about the “Meet and Greet” on The Action Network’s website.
Those planning on attending the event can RSVP here, but the notice does not say that it is required.
On Sept. 13, Cuomo, Nixon and Democratic candidate Greg Waltman will face off in a Primary Election. Nixon has also been endorsed by the Working Families Party, so she will still appear on the ballot on Nov. 6 if she loses in the primary.
Other candidates challenging Cuomo this fall include Republican Mark Molinaro, independent candidate Stephanie Miner, Green Party candidate Howie Hawkins, Libertarian candidate Larry Sharpe, and Reform Party candidate Joel Giambra.
