The Drug Enforcement Administration will now accept vaping products during National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, which will take place on Saturday, Oct. 26, this year.
The program gives people an opportunity to safely dispose of unused or expired prescriptions at designated collection sites.
The DEA will now accept e-cigarettes and vape cartridges, but lithium ion batteries must be removed from devices before they are taken to the sites.
