NEW YORK -- The state Department of Transportation says it will remove 'I Love NY' road signs.
The decision comes one day after the federal highway administration said leaving the signs up could cost the state $14 million in
The state DOT said it will launch a new "I Love NY" campaign in the summer of 2018.
The new campaign will be "NY has it all".
The new campaign will feature print and television advertising, as well as, "new road signage."
The DOT says it will consult with the federal government during the process of redesigning the signage.
