DEERFIELD, N.Y.-Almost right across the street from our WKTV studios on Smith Hill Road, a neighbor is saying thank you to essential workers.
Brandon Shrewsberry, an essential worker himself who lives on Smith Hill, is home on vacation and wanted to build a sign to thank the doctors, nurses, prison workers, and others who are working in the frontline, and let them know he cares. Shrewsberry says he had some stuff laying around at his house, and then he went to Home Depot to buy some supplies to build the sign.
"I was talking to my buddy, I'm just like you know, let's build a sign to show support to all of us essential workers that still have to go to work, that are still on the front line, that are still doing everything (and) that we do support (the workers). We are happy that (the workers) are helping us." said Shrewsberry.
Shrewsberry added that it's definitely important to spread the word for the essential workers for all they are doing during the coronavirus pandemic.
