A Dolgeville man is facing felony charges after he allegedly raped a child, according to the Little Falls Police Department.

A Dolgeville man is facing felony charges after he allegedly raped a child, according to the Little Falls Police Department.

Jacob Avery, 30, is charged with two counts of felony first-degree rape. Police say the alleged victim is under 11 years old.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation by the Little Falls Police Department, with the help of the Herkimer County Child Advocacy Center, the Herkimer County District Attorney’s Office and New York State Police.

Avery was arraigned in the City of Little Falls Court and sent to the Herkimer County Jail on $100,000 bail or $200,000 bond.

Police say the victim is receiving services through the Child Advocacy Center.
