DOLGEVILLE – A teenager has been arrested after police say he sexually abused a child earlier this year.
Dolgeville Police tell NewsChannel 2 they have charged a 13-year-old male with two counts of first degree sexual abuse, one count of forcible touching and one count of engendering the welfare of a child. The teen was arrested at a home in Dolgeville on Monday morning.
Police say the teen has sexual contact with a child less than ten years old in May of 2018. The child's mother contacted NewsChannel 2 and says she was seven years old at the time of the alleged abuse.
The teen and his parents were issued an appearance ticket to appear in court at an unspecified later date.
