UTICA, N.Y. – It’s almost Thanksgiving, and local organizations are holding a food collection to allow local homeless veterans to celebrate the holiday.
The Central New York Veterans Outreach Center, Utica Center for Development, Express Employment Professionals and the Utica Comets are collecting food donations at the Adirondack Bank Center from 1:30 – 3 p.m. Monday.
There will be representatives at all three entrances to take the donations, which will be used to make Thanksgiving food baskets and free meals for veterans.
