UTICA, NY – On Friday, Governor Andrew Cuomo ordered all businesses in New York State to be shut down during the coronavirus pandemic.
But how do you know if your business is essential or not?
Anthony Sementilli, the owner of Dr. Uniforms Unlimited, says he has sent an official request to the state to have his business deemed an essential business.
Dr. Uniforms provides medical uniforms like scrubs and lab coats, as well as other supplies, to not only the medical community but pharmacies as well.
Until he hears otherwise, Sementilli says he will keep his store open.
“If I have to shut down, then I have to shut down, but I think we’re an essential part of this whole pandemic. We need to be open. Not just me, all the stores that do the same things I do.”
Sementilli says he hopes to find out soon whether or not he’ll be able to stay open.
If his store is forced to close, he says medical personnel or anyone else, who needs a uniform can order them here.
