HERKIMER, N.Y. – Herkimer County is working with the American Dairy Association to hold a drive-thru food and milk giveaway at Herkimer County Community College on Wednesday, starting at 11 a.m.
The Dairy Farmers of America donated about 1,200 gallons of milk, while the Salvation Army donated about 1,100 pounds of sausage.
Each vehicle will receive two gallons of milk and a box of food, while supplies last. Each driver will be asked to open their trunk or back window so volunteers can load the items.
There will be face masks available for distribution as well.
