EDMESTON, N.Y. – A music teacher and band director in Edmeston Central School District will march in the next Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Calif.
The parade is scheduled to be held on Jan. 1, 2022.
Michelle Fritts will join 300 band directors from across the country in the New Year’s Day tradition.
The theme of the parade float Fritts will join is “We teach music. We teach life.”
Fritts has taught music education in Otsego County for 15 years, and currently teaches fourth – 12th grade instrumental music. She also leads three concert bands and the junior/senior marching band.
