Elizabeth Street fire victims get help from Red Cross

Saturday afternoon, the Utica Fire Department responded to a fire a 749 Elizabeth Street.

UTICA- Saturday afternoon, the Utica Fire Department responded to a fire a 749 Elizabeth Street.

Fire crews said when they arrived, the flames were large and visible mostly towards the back of the house and the rear and exterior were fully involved.

They said they managed to put the fire out in 10 minutes. They also said no one was in the house at the time, and believe no one was injured.

The Red Cross is assisting two adults and three children from the fire.

They're also helping with a second fire that happened on City Street in Utica, and they said there are no reported injuries in that fire.

Both fires are under investigation.
