ALBANY, N.Y. – With the statewide coronavirus positivity rate around 3.5%, Gov. Andrew Cuomo is easing some restrictions on gathering limits.
On March 22, the number of people allowed at outdoor residential gatherings will increase to 25. Indoor gatherings at homes are still capped at 10 people.
Public or non-residential social gatherings can increase to 100 people indoors and 200 people outdoors, also on March 22.
Event, arts and entertainment venues can also open at 33% capacity starting April 2, but there will be a limit of up to 100 people indoors and 200 people outdoors, unless there are testing guidelines established. If people are required to provide negative COVID-19 tests before entering a venue, the capacity can increase to 150 indoors and 500 outdoors.
Face masks and social distancing will still be required at each venue.
