HERKIMER, N.Y. -- Every ninth grader in Herkimer County attended the annual Genesis Career Day.

The Genesis Group puts this on every year to give ninth graders the information they need to get them ready to make a choice when it comes to their career path.

Monday there were 60 representatives on hand. And to show how interested the students are -- was the fact that every table was busy.

“We have our traditional careers such as law-enforcement in the military which their tables are overflowing with people which is great to see but we also have the drones, cyber security and robotics which are today’s technology. So the students are getting the information which gives them ideas. Their ninth grader so they are there at their critical point in life where they want to start thinking about what they want to do when I grow up,” said Ray Durso, with the Genesis Group.

This is the 11th year for the career day at Herkimer College.
