ROME, N.Y. – Ghost is a nearly 5-year-old male terrier, pit bull mix looking for a home. Tamara Seelman, of the Rome Humane Society, says in addition to being a sweet and loving dog, Ghost has another very special attribute – he’s deaf.
Seelman says the employees at the humane society have worked with Ghost and developed several hand signals and mannerisms to communicate. She also says Ghost would do best in a home where he's the only pet.
He has been at the Rome Humane Society since June, coming from a dog rescue in Syracuse.
