Liz Keller of Rescue Dogs, Rescue Soldiers took Brooklyn to her shelter when the Road to Home Rescue on Broad Street in Utica was shut down in June after dogs were found living in unsanitary conditions.
Brooklyn is up for adoption after she was rescued from the situation at Road to Home. Keller says she doesn’t know all of Brooklyn’s history, but she now has a calm disposition and even knows some commands.
Keller says Brooklyn would probably do best in a home with no children.
Anyone interested in adopting Brooklyn can call 917-553-0591.
Rescue Dogs, Rescue Soldiers train rescue dogs as service dogs for soldiers injured in Iraq and Afghanistan. For more information on the dogs available from the shelter, visit: www.rescuedogsrescusoldiers.org.
