JORDANVILLE, N.Y. – A father and his 12-year-old daughter have been identified as the two victims stabbed to death at their home in Jordanville on Sunday, Sept. 19.
New York State Police were called to the home on State Route 167 around 7:10 p.m. on Sunday, where they found 67-year-old Michael J. Andreev Sr. and 12-year-old Sofia Trusova both fatally stabbed.
State police say the suspect in this case, Andreev’s 22-year-old son, Michael J. Andreev Jr., was found in the front yard suffering from a laceration to the neck. All three were residents of the home.
The son was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse to undergo surgery, and was still at the hospital Tuesday.
State police have not yet released information on formal charges, if any, in this case.
The investigation is ongoing, and police say more details will be released as they become available.
