NEW YORK MILLS, N.Y. – Feed Our Vets, the outreach organization providing food assistance to local veterans, has found a new home in New York Mills.
The nonprofit is now located at 587 Main St., alongside the Fitness Mill.
Feed Our Vets founder, Richard Synek, says the organization had to unexpectedly find a new location when they were notified of construction plans at their old building on Genesee Street in Utica.
Synek received a letter from PathStone Development Corporation in October, stating the organization needed to vacate the building by Dec. 16.
Since then, the organization has been looking for a new permanent location to continue and provide services to veterans.
Synek says the New York Mills building suits their needs since it is equipped with a loading dock and located on a bus route.
The official opening date of the new location has not yet been released.
