The founder of Feed our Vets, Rich Synek, joins us for Newstalk to tell us about the organization and why they need a new permanent location.
The organization "Feed our Vets" has been in the first floor of the Macartovin building on Genesee Street in Utica.
This is right between Grace Church and the State Office Building.
This is where "Feed our Vets" has set up shop on the first floor for a number of years.
However, the building was sold earlier this year to a developer out of Rochester.
The developer, Pathstone, had wanted "Feed our Vets" to be out of building by December 16th.
This is so they could begin their major renovations to the building, including the first floor.
Now, "Feed our Vets" is in need of a new location and so far hasn't found one.
Some Utica Common Council members stepped in. They let "Feed our Vets" stay until January 15th, allowing them a little more time to find a new permanent home.
