VERNON, N.Y. – The second suspect charged in the murder of 21-year-old Tyler McBain appear in Vernon Town Court Thursday for a felony hearing.
Romero Collier, 23, of Syracuse, and 22-year-old Travon D. Golden, of Canandaigua, are both accused in McBain’s death, after he was robbed and then shot and killed at his home in Oneida Castle on Aug. 4.
Several people testified at Collier’s hearing, including a Thruway toll worker, and McBain’s neighbor, who said she did not hear gunshots during the incident.
The autopsy report and crime scene photos were also turned in as evidence.
Collier and Golden are both charged with second-degree murder.
