CAMDEN, N.Y. – Several fire crews were called to Davis Logging and Lumber in Camden after a fire broke out Wednesday morning.
The first crews were sent to the scene on Curtiss Road around 8:15 a.m., and at least six other departments were called in to help get the fire under control.
Camden Fire Chief Bryan Christmas said the mill building where they cut the lumber is a total loss, but firefighters were able to save the other two buildings on the property. Christmas says none of the logs caught fire, but four 50-gallon drums of oil and a tire exploded.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
