UTICA, N.Y. -- Fire fighters spent hours battling a fire at an historic building in the city's Oneida Square area.
This building in the 1300 block of Genesee Street is mixed use, with businesses at the street level – a restaurant and salon, with apartments upstairs.

The fire broke out shortly after 5 p.m.
Crews managed to get the fire under control, and spent time fighting the fire from the inside.
They broke holes in the roof, and doused the flames from above.
There's water damage throughout, but the extent of the damage isn't clear.
There are no reports of anyone getting hurt, and there is no word on a cause as of yet.
