MARCY, N.Y. -- Several fire agencies were called to a vacant building that caught fire Sunday evening on River Road in Marcy.
According to the chief of the Maynard Fire Department, crews arrived to find the building fully engulfed in flames. River Road was shut down around 9 p.m. as crews battled the fire.

The chief said the building once housed a number of apartments.
State fire investigators returned Monday morning to try and determine the cause of the fire.
The chief confirmed no one was inside of the home or injured from the fire. The building is deemed a total loss.
Fire departments from Maynard, Deerfield, Whitesboro and Stittville responded, as well as a number of emergency personnel from Oneida County and National Grid.
