Fire sparks at pole barn in Verona

The road was blocked off to traffic for several hours, and caused damage to a nearby house.

VERONA, N.Y. -- A fire broke out around 11 Monday morning in a pole barn close to a house at on Happy Valley Road.

The road was blocked off to traffic for several hours, and caused damage to a nearby house.

Several departments are on the scene of the barn fire that’s next to a house. The road has been blocked off to traffic. This is as close as I’m allowed to get to the site. pic.twitter.com/5hLZZ003m1

NewsChannel 2’s Rachel Murphy was at the scene and was only allowed to get so close to the property.

There is no word on any injuries or a cause at this point.
