ANNSVILLE – The fire that destroyed two dump trucks at the Oneida County Department of Public Works location in Annsville is believed to have been mechanical, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say they received a call at 3:41 a.m. Thursday that two DPW trucks were fully engulfed in flames, and the Taberg and Lee fire departments responded to the scene. Two of the 10-wheel dump trucks were destroyed and a third one was damaged.
Deputies say the investigation is continuing and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but they believe it was mechanical and no foul play is suspected.
