UTICA, N.Y. -- Integrated Community Alternatives Network (ICAN) is getting another $100,000 to support the development of a Family Resource Center in Utica.
First Source Federal Credit Union is donating the money toward the construction of the $14 million facility, which will house the new Utica Children’s Museum at 106 Memorial Parkway.
“First Source has truly elevated their support with this generous gift, and it is a lasting investment for children and families throughout our region and beyond. The impact of their contribution and this project will span generations,” said ICAN Executive Director Steve Bulger.
The funding will help with site improvements, museum exhibit design and the addition of a rotunda.
Along with the children’s museum, the center will also provide family-based programs and space for community events and activities.
The facility is slated to open in the summer of 2022.
