UTICA, N.Y. - Nikolay Goldobin's tenure with the Utica Comets has come to an end.
The Russian forward has officially signed a two-year deal with CSKA Moscow of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), announced by the team, Thursday.

Goldobin returned to the Comets lineup in the 2019-20 season after spending the entirety of the 2018-19 season up in the NHL with the Vancouver Canucks.
He was second on the team in scoring with 50 points (19 G, 31 A).
Goldobin came to the Comets originally in the 2016-17 season after the Canucks acquired him via trade with the San Jose Sharks organization.
In 84 career regular season games with Utica over the course of two-plus seasons, the left winger had 81 points.
During his stints in the NHL, Goldobin had registered 46 points (19 G, 27 A) between the Sharks and Canucks. He appeared in one game for Vancouver this season.
Goldobin was drafted by San Jose with the 27th overall pick in the 2014 NHL Draft.
