CHADWICKS, N.Y. – The building that formerly housed the Word of Life Church in Chadwicks is up for sale again, listed by Pavia Real Estate Services as a redevelopment opportunity.
The 44,000 square-foot building at 3354 Oneida St. sits on 1.86 acres. There is a parking lot and a new retention wall inside the structure.
The property is listed for $389,000.
In October of 2015, two teen brothers were badly beaten, one of them fatally, inside the World of Life Church. The boys' parents, Deborah and Bruce Leonard were among nine charged after the incident. Both were sentenced to five years in prison. Deborah was released in January of 2020.
The church was sold in 2019 to CEM Realty of New Hartford.
