FRANKFORT, NY - The Frankfort Marina was rockin' Saturday with the village's first-ever Frankfort Harbor Fest.
Hundreds of people showed up to enjoy the nice weather and take advantage of the free event.
There was plenty of live music with 4 bands taking to the stage, not to mention a wide variety of food trucks to satisfy everyone's hunger.
The day kicked off with a classic car show and ended with a spectacular fireworks display.
Rick Sassone, who helped organize the event, says this was not only a way for people to get together and blow off a little steam after being cooped up due to the pandemic, it was also a great way to showcase the marina and all it has to offer.
“This is one of two natural inlets on the New York State Canal System, and we wanted to showcase it, and showcase the event for the village of Frankfort and the whole Mohawk Valley. From Utica and Rome, all the way to Little Falls”.
Sassone says this is only the beginning, and next year's Frankfort Harbor Fest is going to be bigger and better.
