FRANKFORT, N.Y. – A Frankfort company that manufactures disposable garments and accessories will get $400,000 in state grant funding to expand to a larger facility, and buy new machines and equipment.
Genesis Disposables says it has reached capacity at its current location on Southside Road, and is looking to move to a bigger site that will allow them to initially produce 100,000 disposable hospital gowns each month, and then 250,000 per month by the end of the year. The expansion is expected to create 55 more jobs.
The company received $135,000 in July to ramp up the production of personal protective equipment to aid in the state’s pandemic response effort. The money also allowed the company to hire 20 more people to complete the work.
