UTICA, NY - The Frankfort man who rammed his car into his ex-wife will serve nearly 20 years in prison.
Leslie Paulson was charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and menacing after he used his car to pin his ex-wife against her vehicle in the parking lot of MVCC in December of 2019.
The victim suffered severe injuries to her lower body. She was walking her dog at the time of the incident.
Paulson pleaded guilty to second degree attempted murder and was sentenced by Oneida County Court Judge Robert Bauer to 18.5 years in state prison, plus five years post-release supervision. He had previously turned down a plea offer last summer.
